- Cartons are cheaper
The pros are using refill cartons for a few reasons, but number one is it’s better financially.
Purchasing compounds in cartons is 10% cheaper than bucketed products.
You don’t need 30 new buckets every week, so why pay for them when refill cartons do the same thing?
We understand that plasterers are always going to need compounds supplied in a bucket, but you can save the bucket and buy the refill carton and reuse the bucket to save over the longer term.
All those additional buckets also add to plastic landfill for no good reason, whereas cartons are easily recycled, and the liner is 100% biodegradable.
One of the greatest benefits of refill cartons is that you save on freight, as you can put 64 cartons in a pallet vs just 48 buckets. So, while you may be getting slightly less compound per carton vs bucket, overall, you get more compound per pallet.
Refill cartons can also stack in a Ute for easy transport and save space once on site.
- Cartons are easier
Refill cartons are very lightweight, and they're easy to use. They are easy to store and stack at home, and on the job. Tradies can keep a few cartons at home as needed without taking up too much room.
So not only will you be saving on compound by using refill cartons, but they’re also easier to dispose of onsite than buckets especially on high rise projects, as the carton folds flat.
